The organization grew out of a gathering of local individuals in the Picton area in 2007 who are concerned about our common future because neither local political leadership, nor at provincial or federal levels, appear to recognize limits to growth. Scientific evidence strongly suggests that global human activity now exceeds that which planet Earth’s natural living systems could sustain. CSG attempts to bring a global perspective to local activities in Prince Edward County. Healing the earth depends on our acceptance of the limits Nature places on growth of all kinds. By exploring and initiating practical ways of doing this, we engage with others who look towards our ecological and energy future.

British Columbia is Canada's gateway to the Pacific. West coast ports support a large shipping industry through ice-free, deep-water ports. Transport Canada helps ensure the safe operation of commercial shipping by certifying officers and crews on Canadian ships and inspecting foreign flag vessels entering our waters to make sure they are in compliance with strict safety and anti-pollution standards. Transport Canada also regulates passenger vessel safety in British Columbia, from small whale-watching boats to large ships like B.C. Ferries.

Prince Charles Public School was built in 1952. Situated at 1601 Wavell Street, our school has been freshly renovated with a beige and blue stucco exterior. The school sits on the edge of beautiful Kiwanis Park in between St. Pius X and the Kiwanis Skatepark. Inside the building we boast a large gym with very high ceilings (great for those volleyball games). Although our school is mainly all on one floor we do have a sizeable music room on the second floor. On the main floor the senior wing has 10 classrooms for grades 5 to 8, primary developmental and LSTs.
