Beachville Public School was first built in 1913, since then has had two building projects that have added on three classrooms, washrooms, change rooms and a new gym.

    Emily Carr Public School was officially opened in April of 1971 as a junior school, with Junior kindergarten to Grade six classes. The original school was outgrown and renovations were completed to accommodate eight hundred students in 1991, including a significant number of grade seven and eight students. Our school population is about seven hundred students. We have twenty-eight classroom teachers with support staff numbering eighteen, including Subject Teachers, Educational Assistants, Learning Support Teachers, ESL Teacher, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Pathologist. Our office is staffed by our head secretary, clerical assistant, Vice- Principal and Principal. We have a custodial staff of four.

    Northbrae Public School is in Northeast London and was built in 1952. Originally, the school was called North Brae but this name was reworked shortly after the county land, where it was built, was annexed by the City of London. The school was built to replace two smaller one and two room schools named St. Lawrence and Merwin Heights. In March of 2001, the school was modernized to include a new office area, computer resource centre, library, washroom, storage and staff rooms.

The school was built in 1961 and since that time the community has continued to grow. As a result, an addition was built onto the school and completed for September 2003. We received new classrooms, washrooms, staff facilities, computer lab, and a library that is shared with the community. As well, the existing building received new windows, ventilation system, new lighting, and painting.

    Folklorama began in 1970 as a one time multicultural event to celebrate Manitoba's Centennial. It was so successful it has returned every year since then. In 1970, the festival was only 7 days long with 21 pavilions participating. Since then the festival has grown to two full weeks with 20-plus pavilions open in week 1 and a second set of 20 pavilions running in week 2. Today, the fesitval typically draws about 425, 000 pavilion visits plus 15, 000 visitors to the Kick-Off event held the night before pavilions open.

    Forest Park, home of the Firebirds, was built in 1967 and was renovated in 2000-2001, to accommodate JK/SK students and Mary Bucke students. The school has three JK/SK classrooms with two computers in each room, eight primary, seven junior and four intermediate classrooms. Each primary, junior and intermediate classroom has three computers. Our Library Resource room was also renovated to include a bank of 30 computers. Our gym, activity room, and stage area are excellent facilities. The playground is large with extensive playground equipment.

    Clara Brenton Public School was named in honour of Miss Clara Brenton, as a tribute to her many years of faithful and efficient service to the London Board of Education. She began teaching in 1895 as a kindergarten teacher, and she spent her career in primary education. Through her dedicated supervision, London's primary education earned an enviable reputation among educational leaders. In 1962, the London Board of Education realzed that additional urban expansion was likely to take place north of Oxford Street (in Northwest London). It purchased 6.4 acres of land for a future public school site. Construction of the school began in April 1963.

    The Canadian Hemophilia Society is an organization that works at three levels: nationally, provincially and locally. We have ten provincial chapters across the country. Some of our chapters have additional local structures that we refer to as regions. Together we are the Canadian Hemophilia Society. The Canadian Hemophilia Society strives to improve the health and quality of life for all people with inherited bleeding disorders and to find a cure. The Canadian Hemophilia Society serves people with inherited bleeding disorders. These bleeding disorders include hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, rare factor deficiencies and platelet disorders.
