Short profile:

Westfield is the only school located in the south-west corner of Ingersoll. It is supported by a stable residential community. We have a total population of 110 students in our JK-grade 6 classes.

The school itself is comprised of the main building which houses 4 classrooms and directly beside it a portapak which also has 5 classrooms. Westfield was built in 1964 with bright, warm and spacious classrooms, and wheelchair accessibility. We try to maintain a nut and allergy aware environment. The grounds are spacious with ample room for expansion. The large, safe, and attractive school yard has been generously furnished by our School Council with three climbers, a play area, a large soccer field, and a baseball diamond.

Detailed description:

We also have access to a neighbouring PUC baseball diamond, tennis courts,and several game areas. With donations from the Beachville Lime Company and from Canada Trust, we created a lovely garden sitting area of which we are very proud.

Although we are operating without a school gym,we are able, thanks to the generosity of Cami Automotive, to use their marvellous facility which houses a full sized gym, a half gym, and an activity room. Our banners and awards speak to our athletic success in Floor Hockey Tournaments, Cross Country Meets, and Track and Field.

Westfield is rooted in the community. Partnerships exist with many Ingersoll businesses such as Cami Automotive, the Ingersoll Senior Centre, and the C.A.W. Our annual Penny Sale is supported by many local enterprises and from London, Kitchener, and Toronto businesses as well.
