UQAUSIVUT

Uqausivut has been in operation as a licensed business since 1994. Ms. Komangapik formed the micro-business in the Municipality of Iqaluit, Nunavut Territory, in order to accommodate part-time evening training and contracts with, first, the Northwest Territories, and later, the Nunavut Governments. Ms. Komangapik was officially permitted by Nunavut Arctic College to conduct Uqausivut while employed by the college.

The aim of Uqausivut, as a business, is to assist adults individually and in organizations to achieve their goals. Uqausivut focuses on education and training, personal development and clear written communications. Uqausivut is prepared to create learning materials and provide instruction and facilitation. Other services include program development, proposal writing, writers’ support services (coaching, proofreading and editing), clear language document revision, report and creative writing, as well as undertaking research projects.
