PUTTI

Short profile:

Short profile:

Putti Fine Furnishings has grown from an antique store warehousing owner Linda Wade's unique finds, into a full-fledged home decor store, garnering world-wide media attention, an intensely loyal customer base and the 2001 CGTA Canadian Retailer of the Year Award. Since their opening in 1995, the store has expanded several times and the product mix has evolved from strictly antiques to a decadent selection of items old and new. In fact, the store now offers customers a series of specialty department stores within one space, merchandised for the most part as rooms in a house: powder room, kitchen and dining room, linen closet, garden, den for gentleman's gifts and the chamber room for bedding. Linda and Martin travel to New York, England, France and Italy several times a year to collect their stunning array of antique pieces, quality giftware and exclusive finds. Daily arrivals of new merchandise give even their most regular clients a reason to return every day.

Stroll through Putti Fine Furnishings and find an exquisite array of fine antiques, antique linens, Venetian Mirrors, Venetian Chandeliers, Murano Glass, French quilts, antique dishes and crystal, and and antique tableware. Putti Fine Furnishings has grown from a store selling fine antiques displaying owners Linda Wade and Martin Dwyer's unique finds, into a full-fledged home decor store. Linda and Martin opened Putti because their Toronto home was packed to the rafters with antiques. They travel to New York, England, France and Italy several times a year to collect their stunning array of antique pieces, quality giftware and exclusive finds. In the linen closet you will find floor to ceiling shelves filled with antique napkins, tablecloths, sheets and pillowcases and many antique linens of a unique variety. Most are European. Venture further and customers enter the bedroom setting, or shall we say, the chamber room. An antique bed is always the focal point, piled high with pillows. Putti's trademark coronet with lace curtains hangs above the inviting bed display. Adjacent armoires are filled with new and antique French quilts, Eiderdown quilts. Enter the tableware department, providing colour-blocked arrays of pink, blue, green, ochre, ivory and white tableware. Within each colour-block, co-ordinating napkins, cutlery and glasses are mixed with new and antique French and English dishes and antique crystal.
