Obviously, this company is listening to the negative comments and since the most recent comment of March 8/11, things are much better. I recently had a claim that was handled much more professional than previous reviewers, but the adjuster wasn't quite as professional. It took him several days, which eventually turned into almost 2 weeks to approve the repair. The office contact that I had was professional except a delay in replying to a charge that I had paid and submitted for reimbursement. Everything was completed to my satisfaction. I rated this claim as a 4 star because of the above comments.
by far, the worst insurance company i have ever dealth with. i spoke with other memebers and they feel the same way.
the worst customer service and the worst service that has ever been provided by a car insurance company.
they should really look into their terrible phone manners!!!
Of course you must always provide ALL relevant information at the time of underwriting a policy. If there are facts that you did not provide, your application is part of the policy and it then becomes null and void. You cannot blame an insurer if you do not provide all the facts.

I took out a policy with Certas, everything was fine. After a week or two they sent me a registered letter saying they were cancelling my insurance because they had, after issuing me the policy, did their underwriting and decided they could't insure me. Why not just do this in the first place like good insurance companies? Instead, they put a cancelled for underwriting addition to my record. Thanks Certas!
Had the exact same experience. The worst I have ever encountered in my 222 years of being insured in Toronto.

One of the worst auto insurance. I got into an accident this lady rammed into the rear of my car because of the car in front of me was making a right turn into a drive way. I guess the lady behind wasnt paying attention and she rammed right into me. I've got all the police statments saying it was the lady's fault and my certas insurance gave me a call saying the lady is claming injuries and she's been traumatized and wants me to pay for all her bills. I told the certas agent im not paying anything she said why not its YOUR FAULT. How can it be my fault when the police statement says its the lady's fault??? and i even told her that she still said its my fault and continued raising her voice at me. Thank God i've change insurance companies with lower rates then what Certas is providing.
