Bulk Barn Foods Limited is a family-owned business founded in 1982 by Carl V. Ofield. The company began with three corporately-owned stores that soon became franchised. Other stores followed quickly and today, there are 127, all of which are owned and operated by individual franchisees. Bulk Barn stores can be found in Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and Saskatchewan. Our brightly coloured structures are visibly located in various major centres of these provinces. From the beginning, we have prided ourselves on progressive thinking, consistent store operations and attention to detail which, we believe, is second to none in the industry. But we're not the only ones who are excited about our business: many of our franchisees own more than one store or have a relative who owns/operates one. Now that's something to be proud about!
