The public is starting to realize that farm workers do work that benefits all of society. As momentum picks up for agricultural workers’ rights, we feel that it is important to be able to communicate with agricultural workers and supporters through a central website. Every day we are in contact with workers in greenhouses, orchards, fields, livestock operations and mushroom plants, among others. We encourage you to contact us as well.
Detailed description:
The Agriculture Workers Alliance website is committed to provide information to all agriculture and migrant workers on how to become members and the benefits to which they would be entitled. Our varied services include updates on agriculture workers working conditions, help and assistance on tax filling, assistance on CPP & QPP applications, EI benefits, workers compensation benefits and other issues that migrant workers face while working in Canada.
You can learn about the history of migrant workers, as well as participate in related cultural and social events designed to enhance and strengthen the workers alliance.
